Job summary

Maryland Gardens Post Acute is seeking a dedicated aide to support the Nursing Department across shifts. You will answer calls, assist with errands, and help with clerical duties at the nursing station while ensuring resident safety and comfort.

The role involves stocking supply rooms, transporting residents, and reporting any changes or incidents to the Nurse Supervisor. Maintain cleanliness and confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have at least an 8th grade education.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, etc.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Support the Nursing Department and staff on shift.
• Answer phone during mealtimes and assist with resident errands.
• Assist with secretarial tasks at the nursing station (copying, filing).
• Maintain orderly/resident rooms and common areas.
• Turn over medications to the Nurse Supervisor/Charge Nurse.
• Transport residents to meals/activities/outdoors, etc.
• Report accidents, incidents, and changes in resident condition to supervisors.
