Job summary

UCI Health is seeking a Unit Service Coordinator to support nursing units with clerical and data tasks in Orange County. You will perform reception, collect patient information, assemble medical records, and assist with admissions and discharges on a busy hospital floor.

Ideal candidates have prior administrative experience in a medical setting, excellent English communication, and flexibility to work varied shifts. A current BLS certification is required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Prior administrative/clerical experience in a medical setting.
• Ability to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Current BLS certification upon hire (issued by the AHA).
• Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit.
• Perform reception functions, collect and compile patient data, and assemble medical records.
• Assist with patient admission and discharge; support routine patient care as needed.
