Northwest Colorado Health’s Casey’s Pond in Steamboat Springs seeks a Unit Secretary to coordinate the nurses station under the DON and support daily patient care operations. You will transcribe orders, document care, arrange admissions/discharges, and ensure smooth communication among residents, families, and staff while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high service standards.

This is a non-exempt, on-site role with weekend/evening coverage as needed, requiring a high school diploma and LTC

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• One year of long-term care experience preferred.
• Certified Nurse Aide or MA certification preferred.

Aufgaben

• Answers nurses station phone promptly and routes calls accordingly.
• Documents resident care information and demonstrates proficiency in charting/EMR.
• Transcribes physician orders and checks records for accuracy.
• Assists with admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Performs monthly audits for the DWH and monitors order signatures.
• Arranges transport for residents to appointments and lab work.
• Maintains organization of nurses station, supplies, and files.
• Communicates effectively with residents, families and health care team.
