Job summary

Marcella Post Acute in Virginia is seeking a Unit Manager (RN or LPN) for a full-time day shift. The role leads nursing operations on an assigned unit, ensuring residents receive comprehensive, person-centered care.

The ideal candidate will have Virginia licensure, BLS, at least five years of nursing experience and supervisory experience, plus a commitment to quality and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active Virginia nursing license (LPN or RN).
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
• Minimum five years of nursing experience.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a nursing care setting.

Responsibilities

• Assume full responsibility for resident care on the assigned unit.
• Oversee and coordinate resident care to support physical, mental, and psychosocial functioning.
• Ensure timely incident reporting and follow-up with Administrator and DON.
• Participate in facility committees and programs as directed by the DON.
• Contribute to policy development and evaluation based on clinical needs.
• Provide clinical leadership and support to nursing staff on the unit.
• Monitor care plans, regulations, and quality standards to optimize resident outcomes.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support resident-centered care.
