Job summary

River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN is seeking a Unit Manager, ideally an RN, with LPNs considered. Lead the nursing unit, ensure high-quality resident-centered care, and supervise staff to maintain clinical excellence.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations, care plan development, regulatory compliance, and family communications while fostering a collaborative, positive work environment focused on outcomes and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license preferred; qualified LPNs will be considered.
• Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the day-to-day clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality, resident-centered care.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain excellent clinical performance.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and standards of care.
• Serve as a primary liaison for residents' families, providing updates and addressing concerns professionally.
• Monitor resident conditions, respond to changes in status, and intervene appropriately when necessary.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment focused on quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
