Job summary

River Terrace Retirement Community in Bluffton, IN is seeking an experienced Unit Manager to lead a nursing unit. RN preferred; qualified LPNs will be considered. You will oversee daily clinical operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and support staff to deliver exceptional resident care.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and ongoing care plan development to maximize resident well-being and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Current Indiana RN license preferred; qualified LPNs will be considered.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
• Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, time management and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Commitment to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee the daily clinical operations of the assigned nursing unit.
• Ensure residents receive compassionate, high-quality, resident-centered care.
• Supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to maintain excellent clinical performance.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and facility regulations and standards of care.
• Serve as a primary liaison for residents' families, providing updates and addressing concerns professionally.
• Monitor resident conditions, respond to changes in status, and intervene appropriately when necessary.
• Promote a positive, collaborative work environment focused on quality outcomes and resident satisfaction.
