Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and BS degree in nursing or health-related field or business.
• Internal candidates promoted into this job who do not have a B.S. degree must obtain same within 36 months of date of promotion.
• 3 of the most recent 5 years' experience working in a leadership role in an acute care setting.
• Minimum Licensure/Registration/Certification: BLS.
• Current RN Licensure in the State of Alabama or Current Multi State RN Licensure per Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) for Alabama.
• ACLS certification may be required in designated areas as determined by administration.
• National certification in area of clinical responsibility within two years of placement into position.
• ACLS and PALS are required to be assigned/work Free-standing Emergency Departments (FED).

Responsibilities

• Manages the overall operations of a clinical department in order to provide defined patient care services in a prescribed clinical setting which meets IHS's standards of quality, efficiency, and desired outcomes.
