Qualifications

We are hiring a Unit Manager to join our dynamic care team at South Shore Rehabilitation & Skilled Care Center in Rockland!

Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and manage resident care activities, unit operations, and nursing personnel on a designated shift in accordance with regulations.
  2. Serve as a resource for staff in clinical and managerial decision-making and delegate responsibilities appropriately.
  3. Develop and coordinate nursing services with other resident care services.
  4. Participate in inspections and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
  5. Assess residents, validate clinical decisions, and develop care plans.
  6. Ensure staff implements care plans properly and recognize changes in resident status.
  7. Conduct rounds to monitor staff performance and resident needs.
  8. Audit documentation to meet federal, state, and facility requirements.
  9. Collaborate with other departments to meet resident needs.
  10. Provide direct care as needed and follow infection control policies.
  11. Handle complaints and grievances, reporting actions taken.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Current, unencumbered RN license in Connecticut; RN or LPN license in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; CPR certification required.
  • At least 3 years of experience, including 1 year in long-term or subacute care.
  • Supervisory experience preferred.
