Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a clerical support team member to assist nursing services on a patient care unit. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff to support quality patient care and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

High School diploma or GED is required; BLS certification may be required or obtained within 30 days of employment. Schedule runs 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with pay range $15.00–$19.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Depending on unit, BLS from the American Heart Association may be required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Perform clerical tasks in support of nursing services on an assigned patient care unit.
• Interact with patients, visitors and the patient care team to support quality patient care.
• Interpret and comply with departmental policies and procedures.
