Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks a clerical support team member to assist nursing services on a patient care unit. You will interact with patients, visitors, and staff to support quality patient care and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures.

High School diploma or GED is required; BLS certification may be required or obtained within 30 days of employment. Schedule runs 7 a.m.–7 p.m., with pay range $15.00–$19.50 per hour.

Job Description

To effectively interact with patients, visitor's and other members of the patient care team in order to support the delivery of quality patient care. To interpret and comply with departmental policies and procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required. Depending on the unit/department or if the position works directly with patients, Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or required to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
