Job summary

Grand Canyon University is seeking a University Tutor to support the ACE Services department on the Phoenix campus. The role focuses on Nursing prerequisites and related courses, with potential CHM-101 and MAT-274 tutoring opportunities. On-ground in-person work is required for BSN ground and ABSN programs.

The tutor will review lectures, assignments, and assessments, collect student data, and maintain confidentiality. In addition, occasional administrative duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Current GPA of 3.25 or above and an “A” in the specific course(s) to be tutored.
• Availability for 15 hours per week, with on‑ground in‑person work on the Phoenix campus.
• Enrolled as a full‑time GCU student in a Bachelor's or Master's program.
• Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student or 3.0 GPA as a Master-level student.
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University.
• Subject to termination if requirements are not met.

Responsibilities

• Provide tutoring/coaching, reviewing course lectures, homework, and related materials.
• Review diagnostic assessments of students.
• Collect and maintain student data related to tutoring assistance, assessment, and progress monitoring.
• Maintain confidentiality of student records and services provided.
• May be requested to perform administrative duties for Center Operations as needed.
