Job summary

Parkland College seeks a Nursing Tenure-Track Faculty member for on-campus, full-time appointment in Champaign, IL. The starting salary is $55,513.88–$74,616.65 and will be commensurate with credentials, teaching experience, and education.

The role includes teaching, advising, and governance responsibilities within the Parkland Academic Employees bargaining unit. Faculty will teach, mentor students, coordinate clinical activities, and participate in program evaluation and accreditation

Qualifications

• Master's degree in nursing.
• Current registered nurse licensure.
• Five (5) years of clinical and/or teaching experience in nursing.
• Background in nursing across the continuum of care.
• Post-offer, pre-employment background check required (Illinois School Code and healthcare fraud screening).
• Knowledge of national curricula, accreditation, and licensure requirements.
• Current in credentials to teach lecture, lab, and clinical.
• Ability to learn the Parkland information system.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction per college philosophy, objectives, and course outlines.
• Advise and mentor students and participate in governance.
• Coordinate clinical facilities and ensure timely documentation and spaces.
• Maintain accurate scholastic records and submit progress reports by deadlines.
• Participate in student recruitment and retention efforts.
• Collaborate with faculty to maintain and improve courses and programs.
