Job summary

Harborview Medical Center is seeking Nurse Technicians to support RNs in delivering direct patient care and data collection. Orientation is set for October 22, 2026, with a two-session class including EPIC training.

The role involves teamwork across disciplines to ensure seamless care from admission to discharge, plus transportation of patients and supplies. Starting orientation includes two sessions: in-person new employee orientation on Oct 22 and virtual EPIC training.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a Washington State Board of Nursing approved Nursing Education Program and at least 6 months to work before graduation.
  • Must have completed at least one clinical rotation by orientation start date.
  • BLS certification, resume, one clinical evaluation, and completed school Skills Checklist are required.
  • Be available to work a minimum of 1 day per week (some units require more).

Responsibilities

  • Assist under supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and document data.

START DATE/ORIENTATION
  • October 22nd, 2026
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to assist in providing direct care, collect and document data gathered during the delivery of care and communicate findings and changes in patient condition to the supervising RN.
  • Collaborate with the other disciplines as appropriate to provide continuity of patient care from admission to discharge.
  • Perform a variety of tasks including transporting patients, supplies and specimens; ordering and stocking supplies; and ensuring patient safety through monitoring and assessment, safe patient mobilization and hygiene activities.
ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

If you are offered a position, there is a required initial two session class orientation.

  • Day One (October 22nd, 2026): New Employee Orientation – 2:30pm-8:00pm In-Person
  • Day Two: Specialized Nurse Tech EPIC training & access – 3pm-6pm Virtual
REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
