Job summary

Northwest Hospital’s Stroke Medical Unit (SMU) team seeks an entry-level nursing assistant to support patient care under RN supervision on a 55-bed unit. You will help with a variety of patient care tasks and ensure standards of nursing care are followed.

Experience is less than one year; required licensure includes GNA/CNA and BLS CPR; basic computer skills and equipment familiarity are expected. Generous benefits and on-site parking are offered.

Job description

Join a team where collaboration, compassion, and clinical excellence come together every day. The Stroke Medical Unit (SMU) is a 55-bed specialty unit providing comprehensive stroke care alongside the management of complex acute medical patients.

Functions under the supervision of the RN in a cooperative effort with the health care team to assist in providing a variety of patient care related duties. Maintains the standards of nursing care for al patients and implements the policies and procedures of the unit, Hospital and Nursing Department.

Experience:
Essential:
Less than one year experience

Basic computer skills; Synquest; Medical terminology; Hoyer lift; Communication devices; Specialty beds; Automatic B/P cuff; GNA / CNA Licensure; BLS CPR card from AHA.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $27.29 Based On Experience
