Job summary

Grady Health System seeks a Nursing Support Technician (NST) to provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive care under licensed professionals. The NST will assist with activities of daily living, monitor patients, and participate in patient advocacy and education in an inpatient setting.

The role emphasizes collaboration with RNs, unit clerks, and care teams, ensuring safety, comfort, and timely reporting of vital signs and concerns.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• CNA certification or equivalent (PCT program or nursing fundamentals course) required.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association required.

Responsibilities

• Perform hourly rounding and monitor patient comfort using AIDET/5Ps.
• Support RN with patient positioning and care activities to prevent skin breakdown.
• Assist with ADLs and personal care, including bathing, oral care, and nourishment.
• Obtain and report vital signs and other clinical information accurately.
• Maintain clean patient rooms and ensure equipment is properly stored.
