Job summary

Penn Medicine is a leading academic medical center committed to care, research and education. The Administrative Supervisor will oversee nursing staff across weekend, evening and night shifts and serve as an administration representative for problem solving and decision making hospital-wide.

Qualifications include a BSN, Pennsylvania RN license, CPR and ACLS, and PALS within one year. Five years of clinical experience with charge/management is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; BSN required.
• Current Pennsylvania State Nursing license.
• CPR and ACLS required.
• PALS required within one year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff on weekend, evening and night shifts.
• Represent administration for problem solving and decision making hospital wide on weekend, evening and night shifts.
• Monitor and maintain the standards of JCAHO and DOH.
• Assist in patient placement/bed assignment.
• Monitor timely patient throughput and resolve delays.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
