Job summary

Texas Oncology in Tyler is seeking a Nurse Supervisor (RN) to lead nursing operations at our Tyler location. This full-time role offers weekday hours, 8:30am to 5pm, with no weekends, on-call, or major holidays, and provides opportunities to mentor staff and ensure high quality patient care.

The Nurse Supervisor coordinates clinical activities, oversees staffing, and partners with physicians to maintain compliant, patient-centered oncology services.

Qualifications

• RN license and current state registration.
• Minimum 5 years actively practicing as an RN, including at least 3 years in oncology.
• Current CPR certification.
• 1 year of leadership experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing; BSN/MSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee clinical operations for nursing activities.
• Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics within budget.
• Monitor patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
• Coordinate staff training, in-services, and development programs.
• Assist with annual performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Mentor/preceptor to less experienced nurses.
• Other duties as assigned.

Texas Oncology is looking for a Nurse Supervisor (RN) to join our team! This position will support the Tyler location. This is a full-time Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm position with no weekends, call, or major holidays.

What does the Nurse Supervisor do?

Coordinates all activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Supervises nursing staff that provides professional nursing care to patients. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities

The essentialduties andresponsibilities:

• Clinical Oversight
  • Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities.
• Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters.
• Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures.
• Staff Development
  • Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in‑services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff.
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Nurse Supervisor will have the following background and experience:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN or MSN preferred.
• RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
• Minimum 5 year actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least 3 years in oncology.
• Current CPR certification required.
• 1 years of leadership experience preferred.
