Job summary

Kindred Hospital Indianapolis North is seeking a Nursing Supervisor / RN to oversee daily nursing operations and ensure high-quality patient care in a 45-bed LTAC setting. You will guide staff, coordinate with other departments, and help maintain regulatory compliance.

The role requires an accredited nursing degree, an active RN license, BCLS and ACLS certifications, and 2 years of RN hospital experience with supervision exposure.

Qualifications

• Appropriate degree from an accredited school of nursing.
• Valid RN license in the state.
• BCLS and ACLS certification.
• Two years of RN nursing experience in a hospital.
• One to two years supervisory/leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital staff to ensure quality care and compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide professional guidance for nursing personnel, manage disciplinary issues, prepare administrative reports, review staffing and budgetary needs.
• Participate in program development and training for nurse-recruitment activities and continuing education.
• Hire, train, supervise and evaluate designated nursing staff; assign duties and coordinate nursing services.
• Develop nursing protocols and procedures.
• Provide continuing education and staff development opportunities.
• Assess patient needs; participate in providing nursing care and ensure services are documented.
• Maintain patient health care records and supply inventory records; order supplies and equipment.
• Promote adherence to the Code of Business Conduct and Corporate Compliance by monitoring performance and responding to issues.
