Job summary

The Illinois Department of Human Services seeks a licensed Registered Nurse to serve as Nursing Supervisor at the Fox Developmental Center in Dwight, Illinois. The role ensures twenty-four-hour supervisory coverage, directs staff on individual needs, and reviews nursing plans for accuracy and appropriateness.

The incumbent will supervise professional and paraprofessional staff, collaborate with the DON and other leaders, and participate in policy development and quality assurance activities.

Qualifications

• Requires licensure as a Registered Nurse in Illinois and a four-year college degree with nursing coursework.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred for the role.
• Three years of progressively responsible professional nursing experience in a public or business organization are required.
• Experience supervising professional nursing staff is preferred.
• Experience in developing, documenting and monitoring nursing policies and procedures.
• Experience coordinating care and supervising nursing assessments and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Nursing Supervisor for the Fox Developmental Center.
• Provide full line supervision and leadership to nursing staff.
• Assist in developing, documenting, and monitoring nursing policies and procedures.
• Evaluate services through quality assurance audits and program reviews.
• Provide professional nursing services during assigned shifts.
• Participate in committees and contribute to facility operations.
• Perform additional duties within the scope of responsibilities.
