Job summary

South Shore Health is seeking a Nurse Manager for the SMC Ambulatory Kingston location. You will oversee nursing and medical assistant staff, directing daily operations to ensure productivity, safety, and quality patient care.

The role requires BSN, four+ years nursing experience, and supervisory capability in an ambulatory environment. ACLS/BLS certifications are required; pediatrics experience is desirable. Competitive compensation is provided.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
BSN required and current MA RN license preferred.
Four or more years of nursing experience; two years of acute care experience preferred.
Ambulatory setting experience and prior supervisory or leadership experience.
Pediatrics experience desirable and ACLS/BLS certifications are expected.

Responsibilities

Direct the daily operations of the department ensuring compliance with standards and regulations.
Oversee staffing, scheduling, and budget management to achieve goals.
Lead the nursing process to ensure quality patient care.
Promote safety and report incidents using the required systems.
Coordinate staff training, evaluations, and development plans.
Communicate changes and improvements with staff via huddles and meetings.
