Job summary

Michigan Medicine is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for the Troy Medical Campus, PACU/SSU. You will provide professional nursing leadership, plan and manage nursing practice and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care across ambulatory services.

The role involves supervising Registered Nurses and other staff, coordinating staffing, and collaborating with the Peri-op & Procedural Nursing leadership to implement new processes and maintain regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Active nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Experience supervising nursing and ancillary staff.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards for nursing practice.

Responsibilities

• Staffing, scheduling and coverage planning.
• Supervise, mentor and evaluate staff.
• Ensure compliance with licenses, certifications and regulatory requirements.
• Manage payroll, supplies and patient care environment.
• Develop and implement Daily Management Systems and unit goals.
• Coordinate with OR and anesthesia on patient flow.
• Lead unit-based education and in-services.
• Address patient safety and quality improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with leadership to align with institutional objectives.
