Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX, seeks an experienced RN to oversee nursing services in the UH-Clinic SCC Clin Trials Unit. The role includes supervision, patient care management, and ensuring adherence to standards.

Requires ADN, 5 years of general nursing experience with at least 1 year supervisory; Texas RN licensure and BLS at hire; BSN preferred. Day shift, full-time schedule, on-site work.

Qualifications

Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
Experience: 5 years of general nursing to include 1 year of supervisory experience.
Licenses/Certifications: RN Licensure in Texas and BLS at hire.

Responsibilities

Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.

Job Duties

Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
May provide direct patient care.
Performs other duties as assigned.
