Job summary

The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a Nursing Supervisor for Oncology Clinical Trials. The role requires leadership over nursing staff, oversight of daily patient care, and ensuring high-quality trial delivery.

Requires ADN (BSN preferred), Texas RN license, and BLS at hire, with 5+ years nursing and 1 year supervisory experience. Work schedule is full-time, Monday-Friday.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program with an ADN; BSN preferred.
• RN licensure in Texas upon hire; BLS certification upon hire.
• Minimum 5 years of general nursing experience, plus 1 year of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and teaches staff specialized nursing skills in oncology trials.
• Manages daily patient care services and supervises nursing staff.
• Assesses and improves delivery of care and adherence to standards.
• Develops patient care standards and ensures regulatory compliance.
• Facilitates group processes and staff meetings to enhance teamwork.

JOB DUTIES

• Oversees and/or teaches others specialized knowledge and skills necessary to perform techniques and routines in area of specialty.
• Provides operational management of daily patient care services.
• Assesses, monitors, and evaluates systems for delivery of care.
• Assists in development of patient care standards of practice and personnel performance.
• Designs, executes, and delivers effective system of internal controls applicable and in compliance to laws, regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
• Facilitates teamwork through planned group processes, (i.e., workshops, seminars, and staff meetings).
• Supervises nursing staff and/or other non-licensed medical or office support personnel.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
