Job summary

The Rehabilitation & Nursing Center at Everett in Everett, MA is seeking an Evening Nursing Supervisor / Manager for 3pm-11pm (Mon-Fri). The role focuses on clinical leadership and staff coordination to maintain high-quality resident care.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program, current MA RN or LPN license, CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy cert, and at least 3 years of nursing experience with supervisory background preferred. Salary is adjustment based on experience.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program required.
• Three years of experience with one year in long term or sub-acute care preferred.
• Current MA State RN or LPN license; comply with annual re-licensure and CEU.
• CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification required.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegates responsibilities to staff.
• Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• Assesses residents and validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• Develops, implements, and communicates residents’ plan of care.
• Makes frequent rounds to ensure staff performance and resident needs are met.
• Monitors nursing documentation; follows up on issues with the Director of Nursing.
• Follows work assignments and schedules to complete tasks.
• Cooperates with interdepartmental staff to meet residents’ needs.
• Meets with staff regularly to identify and correct problems.
• Provides direct care when needed and ensures fair disciplinary actions.

Educational Requirements: Graduation from an accredited RN or LPN program required.

Experience Required: Three years of experience with one year of long term or sub-acute care experience required. One year of supervisory experience preferred.

Professional Licensure and Certification Required: Current MA State RN or LPN. Responsible for annual re-licensure per regulations. Compliance with yearly CEU requirements. Current CPR, Accu-Chek and IV Therapy certification.

Administrative Functions

• 1.Serves as the resource to staff in clinical and managerial decision making, delegates responsibilities to staff.
• 2.Participates in inspections (surveys) made by authorized agencies.
• 3.Participates in and assures appropriate assessment of residents, validates nursing staff’s clinical decisions.
• 4.Participates in the development, implementation, and communication of resident’s plan of care.
• 5.Making frequent rounds on nursing unit(s) to ensure that all personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with established nursing standards, and that all resident’s needs are being met
• 6.Monitors documentation procedures of nursing staff. Follows- up on problem areas with employees and makes oral/written reports to the Director of Nursing

Personnel Functions

• 1.Follows work assignments, and schedules to complete assigned tasks.
• 2.Cooperates with interdepartmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to assure that services are properly maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
• 3.Meets with staff on regularly scheduled basis to assist in identifying and correcting problem areas, and/ or improvement services.
• 4.Functions in the role of staff nurse or provides direct care to meet the needs of the residents as needed/ required.
• 5.Ensures that disciplinary action is administered fairly and without regard to race, color, creed, national origin, sex, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or marital status.
