Job summary

Misericordia is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to lead clinical staff, oversee nursing care, and ensure regulatory compliance across residences. You will work with the DON, ADON, and VP to develop staff and implement improvements that support residents' health, safety, and dignity.

You’ll guide daily operations, support training, and foster teamwork with RNs, CNAs, and other departments to sustain a compassionate, compliant care environment in Chicago.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in nursing with transcripts; LPN program accepted with transcripts.
• Current IL RN/license or IL LPN license in good standing.
• 3-5 years RN experience or 2-3 years LPN experience.
• Experience in IDD, developmental disabilities, long-term care, or skilled nursing preferred.
• Supervisory experience preferred; leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Be first line of response to daily operational issues and monitor workflows.
• Develop staff through real-time feedback and coordinated training with DON/ADON.
• Deliver high-quality nursing care within residences/facility.
• Ensure standards of practice and policies align with profession and community.
• Promote HIPAA compliance and readiness for surveys.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to meet organizational goals.
