Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required.
• ADN actively enrolled in BSN program may be considered.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Licensure Certification Needed: Yes.

Responsibilities

• The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for efficient operations of the hospital to include administrative oversight during the off-shifts, weekends and holidays, and acts as leadership designee in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer/ Vice President of Patient Care Services.
• Provides leadership and supervision of the PRN Float Pool, Nursing and other hospital staff assigned to the evening shift, night shift, weekend and holidays, in collaboration with respective department manager/director.
• Coordinates temporary and agency personnel needs.
• Forecasts future staffing needs based upon staffing matrices and average daily census in a fiscally responsible manner.
• Serves as a professional role model, participates in continuous quality improvement activities and progresses in personal and professional development.
• Coordinates activities with other hospital departments, effectively collaborates and communicates with department leaders, patients, medical staff and the public regarding policies and procedures, standards, regulations and other issues of importance.
