Illinois CancerCare is seeking a Clinical Nursing Supervisor to support and strengthen our nursing team. This on-site leader will provide daily guidance, mentorship, and support to nursing staff across the clinic, while maintaining a clinical presence and ensuring continuity of care.

The role includes overseeing education for staff, coaching new nurses, and collaborating with Nurse Managers and ILCC Nurse Educator to implement tailored training and practice changes.

Qualificações

• OCN Certified (or intent to pursue within certification timeframe).
• Registered Nurse with previous management/supervisory experience or at least two years at Illinois Cancer Care.
• Willingness to travel to satellite clinics as needed.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and mentors a nursing team with approximately 20 nurses reporting to them.
• Education of staff through ILCC Nurse Educator, practice changes, and group meetings; ensure understanding and adherence.
• Develop tailored education with Directors and ILCC Nurse Educator; implement training for new and existing staff.
• Mentor new nurses during orientation and beyond; participate in evaluations and disciplinary processes as needed.
• Coordinate with Nursing Management to ensure policies and safety procedures are followed.
• Be available to nurses with clinical questions; respond in the moment and provide guidance.
• Occasionally cover satellite clinics 1–3 times per week; function as team, treatment, charge, or float nurse.
