Brewster Village is seeking dedicated and compassionate caregivers to work in a team-based environment where Person Directed Living is our top priority.

Reporting to the Assistant Director of Nursing, the Nursing Supervisor supervises and directs staff activities on the neighborhood, including preparing reports, assisting with Villager care, and responding to emergencies.

This is an AM position with alternating every 4th weekend and holidays.

The following duties are typical for this position but are not exhaustive. Other duties may be assigned:

1. Monitor compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulations.
2. Respond to emergencies on all neighborhoods.
3. Assist with training new employees and conduct in-services as required.
4. Investigate accidents and incidents; complete reports accordingly.
5. Evaluate, supervise, and provide direct villager care, including medications, treatments, and assessments.
6. Report infections to Infection Control Nurse and implement precautions.
7. Provide knowledge and direction to staff, ensuring households have necessary resources.
8. Participate in Quality Improvement initiatives and ensure follow-up for quality outcomes.
9. Perform audits to confirm staff competency.
10. Promote team empowerment and ensure smooth household operations.
11. Provide leadership and serve as a role model, collaborating with others.
12. Maintain a safe, comfortable, and functional environment by assessing hazards and ensuring safe practices.
13. Implement sanitation, infection control, fire safety, and emergency procedures.
14. Maintain regular attendance and work overtime as needed.
15. Participate in Quality Improvement committees as assigned.
16. Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications include:

• Registered Nurse with 3-5 years of nursing experience.
• Previous nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
• Current certification in adult CPR.
• Successful completion of a Post Offer Pre-Employment Examination (POPE).
