Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or NYS-registered nursing program graduate.
• Current NYS RN licensure.
• Experience supervising nurses, preferably in behavioral health.
• Experience in substance use treatment, particularly opioid treatment programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all nursing services.
• Ensure adequacy of medication and supplies in the dispensary and medical unit by inventory.
• Maintain dispensary and medical unit equipment and emergency medical kit.
• Order, receive, and reconcile medication.
• Assess and improve nursing methods and procedures to enhance quality of service.
• Coordinate information flow to medical providers and regulatory agencies.
• Oversee medical records conforming to policies and procedures.
• Chairs/ participates in committees as assigned.
• Prepare monthly nursing service reports.
• Deliver nursing services as needed.
