Job summary

The Sisters of St. Joseph seek an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as Nursing Supervisor/Manager within our Health and Wellness program.

This role provides leadership, staff supervision, and coordination of compassionate nursing care for Sisters in the Convent or Living with Assistance. The successful candidate will oversee daily nursing operations, support staff development, and promote dignity, independence, safety, spiritual well-being, and aging in place, guided by the congregation's

Qualifications

• Active NY RN license and current registration.
• At least five years of nursing experience.
• 2+ years of nursing supervisory experience.
• Strong nursing judgment and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with computers, EHRs, and office applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide visible leadership reflecting the mission and values of the Sisters of St. Joseph.
• Establish clear expectations for nursing practice, staff accountability, communication, and quality of care.
• Partner with leadership to develop, implement, and evaluate nursing priorities and program goals.
• Lead improvements in care delivery, workflow, and staff performance; monitor outcomes and address gaps.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and standards of care in collaboration with leadership.
• Review trends in falls, infections, medication errors, hospital transfers, and other quality indicators; implement corrective actions.
• Identify staffing, training, equipment, and resource needs and recommend solutions.
• Promote staff engagement, professional growth, collaborative problem solving, and respectful conflict resolution.
