Job summary

Sisters of Charity Hospital in Buffalo, part of Catholic Health, seeks a Nursing Supervisor to provide managerial and clinical links in the absence of the Nurse Manager. The role coordinates administrative, patient care, and non-clinical activities on assigned shifts and guides staff in accordance with hospital policy.

The position requires BSN, NYS RN licensure, and current BLS/ACLS certifications, with two years acute care experience and preferred charge-nurse or supervisory background.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current New York State Professional Nurse Registration.
• Bachelor Degree in nursing preferred.
• BLS certification validation required.
• ACLS certification validation required.
• Two years of acute care experience.
• Charge Nurse, managerial or supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide managerial and clinical links between the Nurse Manager and department direction.
• Coordinate and direct administrative, patient care, and non-clinical activities on assigned shift.
• Supervise and coordinate activities of hospital personnel and engage in policy interpretation.
• Produce reports related to patient care, safety, educational development and performance.
