Job summary

Quinault Community Health is seeking a Nursing Supervisor in Aberdeen, WA to lead and mentor the nursing team while ensuring safe, compassionate, and coordinated patient care. This full-time role requires an active WA RN license, BLS certification, and strong leadership skills.

The Nursing Supervisor will work with providers and the care team to optimize clinical workflows, improve quality and patient outcomes, and foster a collaborative environment that respects cultural context and patient

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Active RN license in good standing with WA DOH.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required.
• Knowledge of primary care practices, patient assessment, prevention and health education.
• Familiarity with EHRs and healthcare software.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Plan and assign nursing and clinical support duties to ensure efficient patient care.

The Nursing Supervisor works closely with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to ensure patients receive safe, appropriate, compassionate, and coordinated care. This position provides leadership and direction to nursing staff while supporting a positive, organized, and collaborative clinical environment.

In this role, you will:

• Lead, supervise, mentor, and support nursing staff in the delivery of high-quality patient care.
• Plan, prioritize, and assign nursing and clinical support responsibilities to promote efficient patient care.
• Coordinate medical professionals and support staff to ensure patients receive comprehensive and timely care.
• Work collaboratively with providers and a multidisciplinary team to support patient care management, education and training.
• Develop and implement nursing policies and practices that promote quality, safety, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Support staff development through training, education, mentoring, in-services, and performance feedback.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluations, and other personnel processes for nursing staff.
• Perform clinical duties within the scope of your RN license and support the nursing team in meeting clinical standards.
• Triage patient telephone calls and assist with appropriate coordination of care.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with HIPAA and applicable requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement, organizational meetings, committees, and initiatives that strengthen patient care.
• Help foster a culture where patients are treated with dignity, respect, compassion, and genuine concern.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing with the Washington State Department of Health.
• At least 3 years of experience working as an RN in a primary care clinic or office setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
• Knowledge of current primary care practices and principles of patient assessment, treatment, disease prevention, and health education.
• Knowledge of Electronic Health Records (EHRs) and healthcare-related computer applications.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) requirements.
• Knowledge of common healthcare office and administrative procedures and equipment.
• Ability to work effectively in a cross-cultural environment and understand the social and cultural context of the patients and community being served.
• Ability to lead, prioritize, organize, and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Ability to respond appropriately to frequent interruptions, changing patient needs, and competing priorities.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, families, providers, staff, and outside agencies.
• Strong communication, leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered, holistic care and supporting the overall health and well-being of our community.
• Ability to maintain professionalism, confidentiality, sound clinical judgment, and appropriate professional boundaries.
• Valid Washington State Driver's License and ability to remain insurable through the organization.
• Ability to meet the physical and clinical demands of a healthcare environment, including assisting with patient movement and occasionally lifting or moving equipment or materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Preferred: Experience serving as a lead or mentor nurse, including training and teaching nursing staff.
• Must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and credentials throughout employment.
• Must maintain regular and dependable attendance and reliability.
