Job summary

Baystate Health in Westfield is seeking a Hospital Nurse Supervisor to oversee safe, effective patient care and coordinate activities across units for a designated shift at Baystate Noble Hospital.

The role requires Massachusetts nursing licensure, CPR certification, and a nursing diploma with a bachelor's degree preferred; involvement in staff orientation and rounding on units is expected.

Qualifications

• Licensed to practice nursing in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
• Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider CPR certification.
• Diploma in Nursing required (AS) and Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.

Responsibilities

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

• The Clinical Nursing Supervisor is responsible for the safe and effective management of patient care.
• Coordinates patient care activities across all units/departments for a designated shift.
• Acts as senior administrator on duty for patient care areas and other departments.
• Serves as clinical expert for patients, families, staff and other departments. Rounds on every unit as often as needed during designated shift.
• Assists in the orientation of staff, monitors patient care, and makes direct observations of the outcomes of care.

SCHEDULE:

24 hours, 11pm-7a

Location: Baystate Noble Hospital

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Successfully passed Board of Registration in Nursing Examination and is licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
• Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR certification required.

Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience. No employee will be paid below the minimum of the range. Pay ranges are listed as hourly for non-exempt employees and based on assumed full time commitment for exempt employees.
