Job summary

Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College, affiliated with Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, seeks an advisor to blend academic advising with coaching, support, and resource navigation for nursing students across undergraduate and graduate programs.

The role emphasizes individual caseload management, course scheduling guidance, personal advising, and career coaching while helping students maintain work-life balance. On-site, Monday–Friday with some evenings/weekends as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or related area.
Experience advising nursing or allied health students preferred.
Ability to coordinate with campus resources and support services.

Responsibilities

Advises students using routine or alternative academic road maps as appropriate.
Administers and recruits students into the student retention programs.
Provides academic skills coaching.
Provides job placement coaching.
Advises student life groups, as assigned.
