Job summary

Texas Southmost College in Texas is seeking a Remediation and Retention Nursing Staff member to plan, implement, and evaluate strategies that boost ADN and VN student success across theory, lab, simulation, and clinical learning environments.

You will provide individualized and cohort-based support, develop remediation programs, collaborate with nursing faculty, maintain records, analyze outcomes, and assist with grant reporting while promoting diversity and professional development.

Qualifications

• Provide individualized and group academic support to nursing students identified as at risk.
• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate remediation and retention programs for ADN and VN.
• Collaborate with nursing faculty to design interventions for remediation.
• Maintain detailed records of student progress and outcomes related to remediation and retention.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate the Nursing Student Remediation and Retention Program for ADN and VN students.
• Provide tutoring, skills remediation, and clinical performance coaching.
• Coordinate and deliver workshops on test-taking strategies, time management, and study skills.
• Maintain records of student progress and outcomes; analyze retention data.
• Work with faculty, advisors, and student services to ensure referrals and documentation are complete.
• Participate in departmental meetings related to student success, retention, and grant reporting.
