Fairview is looking for a Nursing Station Technician at the M Health Fairview Northland Medical Center in Princeton, MN! This position is 64 hours every two weeks on the Night shift, for 8 hour shifts, and every other weekend, and is eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

About this Unit:Are you interested in gaining experience in multiple specialties and working with an outstanding team? Then the Med/Surg Unit might be right for you! At Fairview Northland Medical Center the Med Surg unit consists of medical and surgical, pediatrics, and adult Intensive Care patients. The Med/Surg/Peds unit consists of 22 beds and the ICU has 4 beds. We have 43 nurses, 12 nursing assistants, and 1 HUC. We are recognized for having high employee engagement results, high patient experience, and an atmosphere of accountability.
Job Responsibilities:The Nursing Station Technician (NST) will work under direction of nursing personnel to deliver patient care. Duties may include: patient cares, vitals, bathing, feeding, answering call lights, transporting, care of environment (by stocking, cleaning, and maintaining rooms). An NST may work as a patient care attendant.
Duties Include:Performs delegated nursing functions to assigned patients including personal care, ambulation, exercise, nutrition, specimen collection and vital signs.
Performs special procedures (eg: skin care) as defined by patient care unit practice guidelines.
Observes patients and reports any changes in status to appropriate staff.
Communicates effectively with all members of the health care team.
Performs environmental and other responsibilities as assigned.
Accurately maintains the medical record.
Efficiently schedules patient tests and procedures.
Maintains unit communication systems and central desk area.
Actively participates in staff development.
