Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Nursing Station Technician at M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. This hybrid role supports nursing staff on a fast-paced Short Stay Unit, with 56 hours every two weeks on day shifts and every other weekend.

You will assist professional caregivers, manage unit desk tasks, transport patients and supplies, and participate in clerical duties under nurse supervision. Eligible benefits include medical, dental, PTO and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required for Healthcare Providers.
• Completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant program or Fairview-sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home care or acute care settings.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program, with at least one clinical rotation completed.
• Current MN Nursing Assistant Registry certification at hire (not required to be maintained throughout employment).

Responsibilities

• Assist professional caregiver in delivery of patient care and transportation of patients/equipment.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms and unit desk area functions; process admissions and discharges; transcribe orders.
• Coordinate communication on the patient care unit and support nursing staff.
• Perform clerical duties and maintain patient care unit desk area.
• Hybrid role combining Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator duties.
• Demonstrate customer service and teamwork on a fast-paced unit.
