Job summary

Fairview Health Services in Edina, MN is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the M Health Fairview Southdale Hospital. This role supports licensed nurses, handles patient room setup, and ensures supplies are stocked in a fast-paced Short Stay unit.

You will perform essential caregiving tasks, assist with transport, and monitor patient comfort under supervision, with an evening shift of 28 hours per week and every-other-weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• BLS certification required and ability to obtain BLS for Healthcare Providers certification upon completion of the OnTrack program.
• Successful completion of Fairview’s OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or another Fairview-sponsored Nursing Assistant program.
• Six months of direct care experience in long-term, home care, or acute care settings.
• Current enrollment in an LPN/RN/Nurse Practitioner program with at least one semester of clinical rotation.
• Current MN Nursing Assistant Registry certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist the professional nurse in patient care delivery under supervision.
• Transport patients and equipment and set up/stock supplies in patient rooms.
• Monitor patient condition and document tasks performed on appropriate form.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge processes.
