Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Nursing Station Technician for Southdale Hospital in Edina, MN. The role is 56 hours every two weeks on the Evening shift, with 8-hour shifts and every other weekend, eligible for benefits such as medical, dental, and more.

Our 31-bed Med/Surg-Oncology unit delivers compassionate care to adults with oncology and end-of-life needs. You will support the professional nurse, perform hybrid Nursing Assistant and Health Unit Coordinator duties, and help ensure

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; eligible to obtain upon completion of OnTrack program.
• Healthcare experience on a Med/Surg/Oncology unit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting and feeding.
• Maintain unit desk area functions: phones, admissions, discharges, charting and orders transcription.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms; order and stock supplies.
• Coordinate flow of communication on a patient care unit.

Education

OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program or Fairview nursing assistant program

Six months direct care experience (long-term, home care or acute care)

Enrollment in LPN/RN/Nurse Practitioner program

Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification
