Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Current BLS CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Experience in a healthcare, patient care setting, or certified STNA, or current student enrolled in a healthcare major.
• Positive service oriented communication skills.
• Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
• Expert using technology, strong typing, and computer skills.
• Knowledge of growth and development over the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge and skill to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served to identify and report changes in patient condition or behavior.
• Assist with patient care and room preparation as directed by nursing staff to address patient needs and safety.
• Display Service Excellence by practicing the organization’s mission, vision, and values to promote patient satisfaction.
• Order and restock patient care supplies; keep nurses station stocked and organized; manage charts and office supplies.
• Comply with organizational policies and procedures to ensure quality job performance and hospital compliance.
• Answer the telephone, transfer calls, take messages and communicate them with telephone etiquette.
• Assist with arranging transport for patients if needed.
