Job summary

Fairview Health Services at Lakes Medical Center in Wyoming, MN is seeking a Nursing Station Technician for the Float Pool. The role is 0.6 FTE (48 hours every two weeks) with 8-hour evening shifts and every other weekend rotation, providing direct patient care and coordinating unit activities.

Responsibilities include facilitating room turnover, managing medical records, ensuring supplies, delivering excellent customer service, and supporting nursing staff in patient care delivery.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology, communication skills, and computer proficiency are required.
• OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or another Fairview Nursing Assistant program may be accepted.
• Six months of direct care experience in a healthcare setting is acceptable.
• Enrollment in an LPN/RN/Nurse Practitioner program with clinical rotation is acceptable.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification at hire may be required or optional.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates room turnover and coordinates nursing station activities.
• Direct patient care support and interaction with patients.
• Maintains unit supplies and manages medical record flow.
• Coordinates activities to support patient care staff.
• Manages patient care charts and documentation.
• Provides excellent customer service to patients and families.
• Performs other duties as assigned and adheres to policies.
