Job summary

Fairview Health Services, at the M Health Fairview University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus, seeks a Nursing Station Technician for the Float Pool to support RNs and deliver direct patient care and administrative duties on evening shifts.

The role covers units across the West Bank, requires BLS certification and OnTrack Nursing Assistant training or equivalent, and offers comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS for Healthcare Providers) certification required.
• OnTrack Nursing Assistant training program completion is required or enrollment.
• Six months of direct care experience in a long term, home care or acute care setting.
• Current enrollment in an LPN, RN or Nurse Practitioner program with at least one clinical semester completed.
• Current Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry certification on hire is preferred or may be required depending on transfer.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care such as personal hygiene, vitals, daily activities, repositioning, transporting and feeding.
• Maintain unit desk functions: answer phones, process admissions, discharge/transfer forms, transcribe orders, assemble charts, order tests.
• Set up and maintain patient rooms.
• Order and stock supplies.
