Job summary

St. Luke’s Health in Houston, TX is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to act as a central contact for clinical resource management, ensuring optimal staffing across nursing units and facilities within the Texas Float Pool.

You will maintain an up-to-date staffing database, coordinate with internal and external resources, and support scheduling platforms and payroll systems to ensure accurate coverage for patient care. Strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma/GED.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar).
• Proven critical thinking and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience or knowledge of nursing processes or clinical workflow is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as central point of contact for clinical resource management.
• Maintain a robust, up-to-date staffing database for assigned area.
• Coordinate staffing with internal teams and external agencies within the Texas Float Pool.
• Provide subject-matter support for scheduling platforms and payroll systems.
• Resolve scheduling discrepancies and ensure appropriate coverage for nursing units.
