You will adjust schedules, validate census, communicate staffing needs with unit leaders, and serve as a scheduling software expert.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Ability to work independently with prioritization and multitasking.
• Healthcare knowledge including medical terminology and patient care terms.
• Ability to complete delegated tasks within scope of role.

• Strong communication to convey information and engage with patients and interprofessional team.

Aufgaben

• Adjust nursing staff schedules in accordance with contracts, policies and procedures for approval by unit Nurse Manager/Nursing Supervisor.
• Review projected census in scheduling system to determine potential staffing shortages and surpluses for upcoming shifts.
• Communicate staffing needs to charge nurses, unit managers and Nursing Supervisor.
• Serve as primary end user and system expert for scheduling software.
• Provide administrative support and customer service within staffing office.
• Participate in training and orientation of new staff.
• Answer telephone per protocol and manage messages timely.
