Regency at St Clair Shores is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to ensure adequate scheduling of the nursing staff in a long-term care setting. The role involves organizing schedules for RN/LPN and CNAs, monitoring overtime, maintaining rosters, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

The candidate should have computer skills, completed a high school diploma, and meet background check requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years office administrative experience in a hospital or long-term care facility preferred.
• Computer skills are required.
• Meets state and federal criminal background check requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepares schedule for the nursing department by scheduling all Licensed Nurses (RN/LPN) and CNAs to ensure state mandated staffing ratios are maintained.
• Monitor overtime and make daily staffing adjustments according to census needs.
• Maintain daily roster sheets for each shift.
• Daily review of previous day’s time clock punches with schedules.
• Seek supervisor approvals for exemptions, missing punches, absences, etc.
• Retrieve, organize and store all staffing related forms.
• Complete weekly schedule report and provide to corporate.
• Completes daily staffing and posts as required.
• Maintain state mandated ratios pertaining to staffing and ensure adequate RN coverage.
• Attend and participate in facility meetings, as assigned.
• Access continuing education opportunities appropriate to responsibilities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
