Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College Indianapolis is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Simulation and Skills Laboratory Technician to assist in preparing and maintaining the nursing skills lab and simulation environments for students.

The role reports to the Program Chair and supports faculty and simulation staff with setup, operation, and maintenance of simulators and related equipment. Requires a high school diploma or GED and basic healthcare familiarity.

Qualifications

• Requires basic computer software and hardware skills.
• Familiarity with multiple operating systems and applications.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and HPS lab equipment.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and customer-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Maintain simulation and skills laboratories for instructional use.
• Perform basic programming of simulators as instructed.
• Assist with scenarios and operation of simulators as needed.
• Set up simulators, equipment, and accessories for events or exercises.
• Inventory and stock supplies in HPS and skills labs; keep labs clean and organized.
• Assist with general cleaning and laundry in the nursing simulation lab and skills lab.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
