Job summary

Plymouth State University, part of the University System of New Hampshire, seeks a Lab Coordinator for the Nursing Simulation Lab to provide a well-run space that supports learning. The role focuses on organizing schedules, maintaining the EHR, and collaborating with faculty for effective simulations.

You will work with the Nursing Program Committee and other programs to plan inter-professional experiences, while mentoring student workers and ensuring documentation and lab readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and two years of combined teaching skills experience.
• Master’s degree is beneficial though not required.
• Current NH RN license or eligibility is required.
• Experience with clinical undergraduate nursing education preferred.
• Strong computer skills and data management across multiple software packages.

Responsibilities

• Schedule students in the skills and simulation lab; ensure lab hour documentation is complete.
• Maintain the lab calendar and EHR; assist with inventory and supplies.
• Serve on Simulation Lab Committee and Nursing Program Committee; collaborate for inter-professional lab experiences.
• Develop dedicated lab time focused on student learning; set up/breakdown of labs; supervise student workers.
• Attend meetings and assist with BLS/CPR fit testing as needed.

This position is responsible for maintaining a well-run simulation lab to assure an optimal learning environment for students in our newly renovated space at Plymouth State University. Responsibilities are varied and require high energy and self-motivation. As a member of the PSU Nursing Team, you will be a Member of the Simulation Lab Committee and the Nursing Program Committee. You will collaborate with other programs for inter-professional lab experiences or lab use. Maintain the lab calendar and work with faculty to design optimal learning strategies for the simulation and skills labs for our undergraduate nursing program. This position facilitates faculty orientation to the simulation lab and develops Dedicated Lab time in the Simulation Lab that focuses on student learning. Demonstrated strong organizational skills, excellent written and oral communication skills. Experience working with diverse populations.
