Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College in Indianapolis is seeking a Part-Time Nursing Simulation and Skills Laboratory Technician. Under the Program Chair's direction, you will prepare the nursing skills lab and simulators for student use, collaborating with faculty and simulation staff.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, comfort with software and hardware, basic medical terminology, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Basic computing and software usage.
• Familiarity with computer operating systems and common applications.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and equipment used in simulation labs.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills, tact, patience and courtesy.
• Assist simulation staff as needed.

Responsibilities

• Maintain simulation and skills laboratories to support instructional programs.
• Program basic simulators for practice scenarios as instructed by staff.
• Assist with scenarios and operation of simulators as needed.
• Set up simulators and equipment for special events.
• Inventory and stock supplies in labs.
• Keep labs clean and conducive to learning.
• Promote a respectful learning environment and FERPA compliance.
