Kennesaw State University seeks a Skills Lab Specialist to manage nursing skills and simulation labs, ensuring safety, equipment readiness, and hands-on learning. You will work closely with faculty to help students build clinical skills, maintain supplies, and support readiness for clinical practice.

The ideal candidate has a nursing degree, Georgia RN license, BLS, and 2 years of clinical experience, plus familiarity with simulation tech.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited institution of higher education.
• Current license in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse.
• BLS certification required.
• Two (2) years of clinical experience.
• An advanced degree is preferred.
• Experience in healthcare simulation or a simulation lab environment is preferred.

• Sets up and maintains nursing skills labs and simulation scenarios.
• Organizes equipment and materials for clean, ready-to-use labs.
• Operates and troubleshoots simulation mannequins and AV gear.
• Records maintenance and repair activities accurately.
• Guides and supports students during practice sessions.
• Assists in scheduling labs and tracking student progress.
• Monitors inventory and ensures supplies are stocked.
• Collaborates with faculty to plan lab sessions and simulations.
• Supports evidence-based practices aligned with course goals.
• Trains faculty, instructors, and students on simulation equipment usage.
• Ensures labs comply with safety rules and regulations.
• Handles and disposes of biohazardous materials safely.
• Leads lab tours for visitors and prospective students.
