PACS Group is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to supervise day-to-day nursing activities during a tour of duty and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role emphasizes leadership, policy maintenance, and coordination with other resident services to maintain quality care.

Essential duties include directing nursing functions, developing procedures, maintaining current reference materials, and participating in quality assurance as well as facility surveys.

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing day-to-day nursing activities.
• Develop, maintain and update written policies and procedures that govern the nursing service department.
• Ensure reference materials at nurses' stations are current and accurate.
• Ensure nursing service personnel comply with the Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Make reports to the Director on nursing service operation as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with resident services for continuity of care.
• Participate in the facility's quality assurance program for nursing services.
• Support facility surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Assist in planning the nursing portion of discharge plans.
• Plan and meet with nursing staff to coordinate services and activities.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Complete accident/incident reports as necessary.
• Interpret policies to staff, residents, visitors, and agencies.
• Perform administrative duties and charting as necessary.
• Protect patient information and report violations.
• Report unauthorized access attempts to the Administrator.
• Attend committee meetings and prepare reports for committees.
• Provide information to QA and Care Plan Committees.
• Develop agenda for Care Plan Committee meetings.
• Review discharge plans with Care Plan Committee and implement recommendations.
• Ensure sufficient licensed staff and CNAs for tours to maintain quality care.
